Week Two is under way …

… and one of the tasks is to get familiar with the persona concept.

And what if we were to apply this idea to the Teachers as Designers cohort? That is, what if we were to take the answers from the Survey Monkey questionnaire and create a persona? What would that persona look like?

Well, let me not keep you in suspense any longer! With 69 responses to date:

(40% 45-54, 30% 35-44)

is very experienced professionally

(75% non-native English speakers, English is 2nd or 3rd language)

teaches either young learners or young adults looking to study abroad

(45% YL, 40% young adults for AP)

prefers teaching face-to-face

(75% f2f, 31%f2f with ICT tools)

uses digital tools

(such as online presentations, apps, videos, screencasts, blogs & wikis)

prefers participating in ‘blended’ professional development

(44% blended, 34% online, 22% f2f)

hopes to learn a new design methodology, more about ICT tools for educational purposes and how to redesign their subject – on this course

(top 3 objectives out of 6)
